WHAT LEAGUE REPRESENTS
Women who gained the right to vote in 1920 founded the League of Women Voters. League took on the mission of registering new voters, promoted healthy communities, and became a recognized repository of civic knowledge. League continues to be:
♦ Non-partisan: We do not endorse candidates nor work directly with political parties
♦ Consensus driven: We take positions on issues we've studied
♦ Committed to helping all communities vote and take action
♦ Open to everyone who supports Making Democracy Work.
Join the League of Women Voters, a respected national grassroots organization, to help create a more inclusive democracy. Become a member and help us shape the important issues that keep our communities strong. We offer Free Student Memberships!
